Shrewsbury Town Women director Brogan Cook sat down with Salop to discuss the head coach vacancy.
The upcoming departure of Derry Creighton was announced this morning, with the gaffer set to take on a new challenge at Liverpool's LFC International Academy next season.
Speaking in her interview, Brogan discussed what the club is looking for in a new head coach and praised Derry for the fantastic work he's done this season.
With the announcement of Derry's departure, how much of an impact has he made during his time at the club?
"Derry has made a huge impact in the short time he's been with us.
"He's got a really infectious, positive, can-do attitude, which I think has really helped us push throughout the season when we've had a bit of a dip and hard times.
"A little bit of tough love is sometimes what we need so I think we really will miss Derry's character.
"He's insightful in his coaching and what it brings - certainly from a training and analysis perspective. I think we'll certainly miss that element.
"Derry's got a great opportunity that we would never stop anyone pursuing. We wish him absolutely all the best.
"We know how important it is to get the right person when recruiting for the new role of a head coach and certainly for myself, Chloe and Leanne, it's really important that we recruit well and we recruit right for the role.
"For the club, the leadership team and the players as well, we want to ensure that the next head coach comes in and gives us that continuity and consistency.
"We'd love them to be here in the long-term so we can have that stability across the group and to maintain the momentum we've built and build on it.
"We know we've got lots of big ambitions. We're striving to get up the leagues and stand on our own two feet as an independent club.
"And therefore we will be looking for someone who is in it with us and who is as invested as we are in the long term."
