Super Blues will continue following the recent passing of Chris Smith
Following the recent sad loss of Chris Smith, discussions have been held on the future of the Super Blues Club and Away Travel. It will be impossible to replace Chris, but there is a wish to make sure that his legacy goes on.
The Super Blues Club Committee has agreed to carry on – for now they will be mentored by Shrewsbury Town Chief Executive, Brian Caldwell.
The Super Blues will continue to run events and also their popular monthly prize draw. Members’ subscriptions will be collected as usual and prizes sent out to winners. The ‘Buy a Brick’ scheme will also continue.
In the future some Super Blues events may be run in conjunction with other Supporters’ Groups and the many long-standing helpers – these have always worked with Chris Smith and the Super Blues. This may include the important Fans’ Presentation Evening at the end of the season.
Members of The Super Blues Committee will be at the annual Football Club Open Day to help with members’ queries.

Travel to matches – home and away – was also organised by Chris Smith. It is planned that this will also continue - new arrangements and contact details will be announced as soon as possible.
