Gaffer thanks fans for their support

Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst has thanked the fans for their support after the increased ticket sales for the AFC Wimbledon game.

Town have been in brilliant form at the Greenhous Meadow of late, winning their last three and losing just once since Paul took over in October.

Over 1400 people have taken up the 25% discount in ticket prices for the game and Paul is hopeful that the players can give the fans something to cheer about.

“We want as many people as we can to support the team”, Paul told ShrewsWeb.

“It’s good for the club, but for the players themselves to play in front of bigger crowds and better atmospheres is good too.

“It’s an indication that hopefully there is something worth coming to watch and that there has been an improvement, and that is credit to the players.

“All I will say is that, for the fans that are already with us and the new people, we will try and make it a good afternoon.”

Don't forget that you can still take up the offer to tomorrow's game with AFC Wimbledon.

Tickets can either be bought from the ticket office, online - https://www.eticketing.co.uk/shrewsburytownfc/ or over the phone on 01743 273943.
